Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

What a day - had my first cup of coffee

Aw, that's so sweet of you! A good friend of mine kept suggesting me to try 3D. I had this perception that 3D rendering skills are so much more complicated and sophisticated. Well, I am happy in my little world of portrait painting. I'll be sticking with what I am comfortable with then!

Oh, it can be tricky, yeah. Actually it is pretty tricky and will take years to get the grasp of but again with your digital magic, why restrict yourself to 3D. I said the same thing to Alex here [link] He had used 3D before but as I told him, digital is his medium as is yours. 3D remdering will never deserve you both you guys are too good!

Awww, thanks, hun!

The reason why I disabled my comments was because one time I looked back at my posts and noticed myself apologizing each time for not being able to reply to the comments left and I felt really bad. I figured if I can't find time to reply, I shouldn't waste people's time and compel them to comment. Faving my renders is enough indication that they liked what I made and that helps me bring things up a notch on the next deviation or at try to bring it up a notch
